Great Little Radio

This is a solid piece of equipment. The sound quality is very good, and the volume is plenty loud to hear over my outboard motor. I really like the scan feature. I set it up to scan 9, 16, and several of the channels that the charter captains use. I fish on Lake Michigan and listen to the fishing reports all day. The unit appears to be well made and holds a charge very well. I like the 2nd battery cartridge (for AAA batteries)for use if the primary cartridge fails.

I got this to replace an older, larger radio. So far, so good. I'll give it a good test this June during our annual trek to Abaco, Bahamas. Over there, marine radios are used as telephones since there are so many islands you hop to and from in your rental boat. I use it for hailing cabs, making dinner reservations, checking on marinas and anything else where you would normally use a telephone.

A great size for packing and a very sturdy little radio. Great to keep with you as a last resort while snowmachining/hunting in bush Alaska.

This product is great for getting the current weather at home or traveling to the marina, before you get on the water. I haven't needed to call SeaTow for help yet. It leaves me with a sense of insurance
on the water.
